Yesterday afternoon, I shot my first newborn session since the loss of our own son. I went into the studio not knowing how I would feel. I have been at peace with everything for quite some time now, but being of the presence of a squishy little newborn could trigger some feelings. But honestly, when Mr. Alec walked through that door, I felt nothing but joy. Seeing the sweet little face, and tiny toes, it brought me nothing but feels of happiness.
That's how I know I'm in the right profession. I love what I do and all the tiny, little clients I get in that studio every day. And while it still hurts to not be able to hold our own little one, spending time with all these miracles... it actually helps.
